For nearly 20 years, we have worked with leading companies like Volvo, Scania, Allianz, Verisure Securitas Direct, Hitachi Construction Machinery and Husqvarna to deploy innovative IoT solutions across the globe. We design, implement and operate IoT solutions that connect devices, machines, people and places through a global system consisting of over 400 mobile networks.

The Telenor Connexion team

We are the dedicated IoT experts in the Telenor Group, one of the world’s largest mobile network operators.  Our headquarters and innovation center are located in Sweden, with regional offices in the UK, Germany, US and Japan. We are proud of our Nordic business heritage, with a commitment to open and transparent operations around the world.

Telenor Connexion was awarded ISO 27001 certification on September 25, 2019, following an extensive auditing process, performed by Intertek, a multinational assurance, inspection, product testing and certification company.

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard that describes how to manage information securely. The standard has become the most popular information security standard in the world.

Making history

Innovation combined with excellent service in our foundation. For nearly 20 years,  we have been working to make a positive impact for our customers and the world.

1990’s: Telenor pioneers M2M communications with things connected over the GSM network.

2003: First large-scale partnerships with Volvo and Verisure Securitas Direct .

2008: Telenor Connexion becomes a separate corporate entity focused on M2M, becoming the first operator to develop and launch an industrial IoT platform.

2008: The Telenor Connexion solderable eSIM patent is approved.

2010: Our first North American hub is opened in the US and our first APAC hub is set up in Japan.

2014: Our Cloud Connect end2end solution is launched.

2014: Telenor Connexion develops “Net Friendly mode” (a feature to avoid overloading networks) which became part of GSMA IoT Connection Efficiency Guidelines.

2015: Telenor Connexon becomes the first operator to offer dual IoT platforms.

2015: Telenor Connexion develops and implements a Big Data platform to analyze and optimize network performance.

2016: ARTS, the cloud-based network analytics tool is launched, giving our customers real-time insight into their IoT devices and networks.
