Telenor Group recognised as a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide

Telenor Group has been recognised as a Leader, amongst eighteen managed IoT service providers in the 2021 Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide report by Gartner.

Telenor Group has been recognised as a Leader, amongst eighteen managed IoT service providers in the 2021 Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide report by Gartner.

This is the second year in a row Telenor Group is in the Leaders quadrant in recognition of the company’s overall completeness of vision and ability to execute. This year, Telenor is the only Nordic operator recognised in the report.

Commenting on the report, Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor Connexion, says: “We are proud to, once again, be recognised as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide report. Of course, every year the competition gets tougher, so this year’s placement is even more satisfying to us knowing that we are the only Nordic operator named in the report. We believe that this recognition as a Leader is further a confirmation of our technology leadership, market competitiveness, commitment to our customers and determination to innovate.”

Gartner describes companies in the Leaders quadrant as: “Leaders invest in the future of IoT that includes a continuum of value from IoT edge devices to IoT platforms and related analytics. Leaders perform skillfully and often exceed expectations. Leaders have a clear vision of the market’s direction and develop competencies to maintain their leadership. Leaders engage customers and provide value across multiple geographies. They shape the market, rather than follow it, and they often set the benchmark for market growth. Leaders have the size and scale (for example, operations, sales and marketing, formal bid, and product management) to pursue large panregional and multinational opportunities for IoT connectivity. They have established a robust and diverse ecosystem of technology alliances and service delivery partnerships spanning IT, OT and IoT to meet broad market requirements.”

Telenor is one of the world’s largest operator groups, providing IoT services both for local and multinational companies by its IoT specialists located in 18 countries in Africa, Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Telenor was an early pioneer in the IoT area and today operates over 17 million IoT units in over 190 countries and has been assisting customers with innovative managed IoT connectivity solutions for more than two decades.
