As a Frontend Architect in our Technology Development team you will deliver high quality frontend architecture and be a central part in our scrum teams. You will maintain and develop the existing architecture to ensure effective feature development, long lasting robust frameworks and implemented using cost-effective and scalable technologies.
We have two main platforms that are already established customer products, these are based on state of the art software engineering and designed according to big data, real-time, scalability and cloud best practice & technology. These platforms are used for trouble shooting and to gain operational insights both internally and externally (ARTS), as well as our customer facing Managed IoT Cloud (MIC) platform for managing connected devices and their data. The MIC platform is a strategic area for Telenor Connexion, and it has recently been benchmarked by an external agency where the platform was ranked in the top-segment. As a Frontend Architect you will play an important role in the development of these and coming platforms, ensuring we implement the right technologies, at the right time, for the right purpose. We are work according to agile methodology (Scrum) with close collaboration to the business. To be successful as an Architect at Telenor Connexion you need to take responsibility to understand the use cases. You also need to excel in translating high level business requirements into robust solutions, frameworks and implementations, in a way that facilitates scalability, reusability and effective developing of new features, components and integrations of other systems. As a Frontend Architect you will be an expert and mentor for Frontend developers. In addition to the collaboration with the UX specialist, you also need to work closely with the Backend Architect to ensure Frontend and Backend technical road maps are aligned, as well that user stories are groomed and sprint scope is synced to drive effectiveness in both teams. Together with your peers the Backend Architect and the Embedded Systems Architect you form the Architect team which in turn is headed by the Platform Architect. The Platform Architect has the overall technical responsible for all parts of the platform and will coordinate technical work across the domains of the platform and will also drive partner and customer dialogs.
The CTO Office consists of five departments; Product Management, Roaming Management, Project Management, Technology Architecture and Technology Development. The Frontend Architect reports to the Head of Technology Development.
The Development teams consist of very skilled and senior Data scientists, Data Engineers, Software Developers and Engineers, Platform Architects, Frontend Architect, Backend Architects, Embedded Systems Architect, IoT Specialist, UX specialists, and Testers. The team (currently around 25 people) consists of a mix of in-house cloud experts and contractors all working tightly together with a one-team approach, sharing best practices and experience on a continuous basis. With dedication and commitment, the team deliver awesome customer products and critical business value by developing and establishing state of the art IoT-platforms, data pipeline solutions and Analytics tools. The scrum teams are all characterized by a truly inspirational, vivid and agile culture, where everyone chips in on urgent matters and help team members to quickly resolve blockers. Currently the Technology Development teams are located in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

We would preferably see the applicant to have the experience and capabilities to take on this role immediately or being comfortable to take on the full role of being a Frontend Architect over the initial 6-9 months.
• MSc educational background with 4-15 years of working experience within frontend development and architecting.
• Very good Swedish and/or English communication- and presentation skills (verbal and written), preferably both languages.
• We expect you to have experience in several of the following areas:
– Functional program
– Event based architectures
– Time series data
– AWS SDKs
– ElasticSearch or other NoSQL (object/document storage)
– Test Driven Development
– Developing and using APIs
– Real-time device and data management
– Servers-less architectures based on AWS Lambda.
– Network communications including proxy and gateways.
– Understanding of Big data management principles;
i.e. parallelism, server-cluster, shards, partition and sort keys.
– IoT protocols like MQTT.
– Scrum methodology.
• Additional qualifying experience:
– LPWA; LoRa, NB-IoT etc.
