Telenor Connexion’s sale of its machine-to-machine technology platform to Ericsson was completed today. With an increased focus on value added services Telenor Connexion will address the multiple demands of our customers and retain our competitive edge.

After completing a road tour in the USA to meet with a select group of journalists and analysts that focus on M2M, it became very clear that some people in the media (and outside) are confused about our recent press release with Ericsson. On April 19, Telenor Connexion announced that we had sold our M2M technology platform to Ericsson. Unfortunately, some believed that Telenor Connexion had been sold to Ericsson. Even though the press release stated that Telenor Connexion would be Ericsson’s first customer! (Even one of my best friends SMSed me to say – oh, now you are owned by Ericsson!.. I clued her in..)
