The CARWINGS telematics system, of which Telenor Connexion is part, won the award that honours excellence and innovation in mobile communications.
Telenor Norway aims to be market leader in the M2M field. As part of this initiative, Telenor Business Norway has signed an agent agreement with Telenor Connexion to sell the M2M portfolio in Norway.
The awards recognise excellence in smart metering and acknowledge companies playing a defining role in moving the industry forward. Telenor Connexion customer OnStream won both “Metering Manufacturer & Technology of the Year Award” and “Innovation of the Year Award” for their connected Smart Meters.

Telenor Connexion will enable Nissan LEAF owners to use a mobile phone or PC to check battery status and range, to turn on vehicle’s air-conditioning etc. even when their Nissan LEAF is parked and completely switched off.
This is the first time connectivity becomes a standard in an electrical car.
